My Favorite Feed
ADM is where I get my feed. The products I get are Patriot 14 %, StayStrong Mineral Pellets and MooreGlo Fat Supplement. The Patriot 14 %, although it has a trace amount of molassis still has an NSC of 20%. This is
lower than Safe & Sound by Nutrena. The StayStrong Mineral Pellets have absolutely no carbs, no molassis.
This is fed at 1lb per day for your easy keeper fat boys (and girls). This keeps their mineral and vitamin levels optimal
while they are only on forage. The Moore Glo is also fed at 1lb per day with a fat from rice bran at 18%. Perfect
for all horses especially your drafts. Fat from rice bran keeps longer but fat vs carbs is a "cool" energy source, unlike
carbs and sugar that make horses hot. For your equine senior I recommend Patriot Senior.

My Favorite Mentor
* Eddie Drabek of Whole Horse Trim
is a certified AANHCP Hoof Care Practitioner. I have known Eddie for a couple of years now and I follow
his trim style and people skills closely. Eddie has 400+ horses in his care. Many of which are Performance Horses.
I bring this to light because their are many skeptics that feel that the barefoot movement is strictly for lame and ailing
horses. This myth couldn't be farther from the truth. There are many working and performance horses that excel
in their discipline and are healthier for it to boot! Just ask Eddie and his wife Tiffany. Click their link or
the Hoof below to visit with them.

be found at Valley Vet Supply, however they do not sell the gallon size which can only be purchased through PRP Technology. Check out my Catastrophic
Wound Care page (coming soon).
